If you have a Telehealth appointment, you may join through the appointment link on the Athena patient portal. Your provider may also send you an access link via text message or email if you are not online at the time of your appointment.

Treating ADHD

ADHD has much of the same treatment options whether it is present in an adult or a child. However, the way treatment is approached is quite different.

Adults may be taking medication for other problems, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, or heart diseases, therefore your psychiatrist will take extra care when deciding upon the course of treatment.

ADHD Therapy

Psychotherapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), is also used in treatment. Your therapist may help develop organizational strategies to manage daily tasks, and also create strategies to improve self-image and interpersonal relationships that are affected.

Patients will receive a text with a link stating "your healthcare provider requires additional information for your appointment". You must click the link and complete all consents and sections prior to your appointment time.
